Petrolatum based products can be applied to all kinds of surfaces - cold, wet or submerged, pitted or corroded. Once applied on a minimally prepared surface, corrosion will stop.
These products are corrosion resistant to water, salts, acids and caustics. They also have excellent long term UV stability. Petrolatum based products do not harden with the passage of time and can be removed for inspection, then reapplied. Many installations have service lives of over 20 years.
