Microcrystalline wax is the latest research results and has wide usage. The cost can cut off 50% when using microcrystalline wax rather than similar hard waxes. It is characterized by high molecular weight, viscosity, melt point and a more opaque appearance. There are numerous grades of microcrystalline wax and variations are due to differences of feed stock and method of refinement. Colors range from white through yellow to dark brown in appearance.

Microcrystalline wax has nice oil absorbency capability, can be formed in stable and well-proportioned paste with kinds of solvents or wax
. At the same time, it has good emulsifying property. It can be used as processing agent in shoe polish, car wax, polishing wax, floor wax, wax polish, Chinese medicine, protective agent, candle, wax toy, dental material, and cosmetic and so on. In addition, add microcrystalline wax in the recipe of wax paper can make the handwriting clear and improve the rub resistance.
